2X Led Exproof Waterproof

The 2X LED Exproof Waterproof is an EAXL series LED luminaire certified for use in explosive gas atmospheres. It holds type examination certificate TSE 21ATEX0173 X, issued by the Turkish Standards Institution under Directive 2014/34/EU, and carries the marking II 3G Ex ec IIC T6 Gc.

Reading that marking correctly is what determines safe product selection on site. Category 3G identifies the luminaire as suitable for Zone 2 gas atmospheres — areas where flammable gas or vapour is not present in normal operation, or is present only briefly if at all. IIC covers the most demanding gas group, including hydrogen and acetylene. T6 confirms a maximum surface temperature limited to 85°C, the safest of the temperature classes.

The protection concept is increased safety (Ex ec, EN IEC 60079-7). Unlike a flameproof enclosure, a spark is not contained within a housing; instead the luminaire is designed so that arcs, sparks and hazardous surface temperatures do not occur in normal operation. The result is a lighter body and simpler installation. The "X" suffix on the certificate indicates that precautions against electrostatic charge build-up are required, so the installation and cleaning instructions must be followed.

The product is offered in 670 mm and 1280 mm lengths. EAXL22L15C delivers 26 W and 3,000 lm and EAXL22L25C 41 W and 4,500 lm, both at 670 mm; EAXL14L15C and EAXL14L25C offer the same wattages at 1280 mm in a 95 mm width; EAXL24L15C provides 53 W and 6,000 lm and EAXL24L25C 80 W and 9,000 lm, both at 1280 mm in a 140 mm width. Height is 102 mm throughout and weight ranges from 1.2 kg to 2.2 kg.

The body is grey polycarbonate or ABS with a diffuser retainer; the suspension element is 0.5 mm stainless steel sheet. The converter is a long-life constant current type compliant with ENEC standards. Protection class is IP65, ambient range -20°C to +40°C and supply 220 Vac / 50 Hz.
