Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University Lighting Project

As Pamir Lighting, we delivered the lighting solutions for Azerbaijan State Oil and Industry University, one of the long-established higher education institutions of the region, located in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. In educational spaces used intensively by students and academics throughout the day, our aim was to create a lighting scheme that is both efficient and comfortable.

In the project, we used Galaksi Dolunay Surface Mounted luminaires. As the version of the disc-form Dolunay body that fixes directly to the ceiling surface, this product requires no suspension components, so no ceiling height is lost and no additional support structure is needed on concrete ceilings. In areas without a suspended ceiling, or where pendant luminaires could affect circulation, it carries the elegant design language of the Dolunay family into the space.

With five diameter options ranging from 360 mm to 1200 mm, we were able to select luminaires to suit the scale of every area, from large volumes such as halls and lobbies to classrooms and offices. High luminous flux values allowed us to achieve powerful and uniform lighting even in large spaces. The aluminium body, available in white and black, offers a simple and modern look in harmony with the architecture.

In corridors and circulation areas, we used surface-mounted downlights to achieve effective and balanced lighting without the need for a suspended ceiling, completing the overall coherence of the project.

The luminaires used in the project feature LED modules rated at 60,000 hours and ENEC-compliant constant current drivers. Some of the luminaires also offer dimmable DALI driver and emergency kit options, meeting both energy saving and safety requirements.
