Ireland The Olympic Project

As Pamir Lighting, we designed and manufactured a bespoke luminaire for The Olympic project in Ireland. In this project, our aim was to turn lighting into a symbolic design element that directly reflects the identity of the space.

At the heart of the project is a custom design in which five Galaksi O rings come together in a single luminaire in the shape of the Olympic symbol. Developed on the basis of the ring-shaped Galaksi O Direct series, this luminaire reinterprets the interlocking structure of the Olympic rings through light. As a result, the lighting is positioned not merely as a light source but as a powerful focal point that is fully integrated with the name and spirit of the project.

Our ability to realise designs like this rests on carrying out every stage, from design to production, in our own factory. Our engineering team developed project-specific solutions so that the five rings could be combined in a single body with the right proportions, a balanced suspension system and complete aesthetic integrity.

The luminaire uses the proven technical platform of the Galaksi O series: a satin-finished anodised aluminium body, LUMILEDS, OSRAM and NICHIA LED modules rated at 60,000 hours and an ENEC-compliant constant current driver. Directing light straight downwards, it provides uniform lighting in the area below while creating an impressive silhouette overhead. The height-adjustable suspension system, made of 1 mm steel cable and nickel-plated brass parts, offered flexibility during installation. The product is also available with dimmable DALI driver and emergency kit options.
