Wallwasher

Wallwasher is an LED luminaire that lights a wall by spreading light along its surface. It differs from general lighting in directing light at a particular plane rather than filling a volume: a façade, a retaining wall, a tunnel side wall or a building envelope forms that plane. Light distributed evenly across the surface brings out its texture and colour.

The product is manufactured in twelve codes across two power families. The EALW family is offered in six types: EALW11U opens at 11 W and 900 lm in 173 mm and EALW76U reaches 76 W and 7,000 lm at 1214 mm, with intermediate lengths of 329, 614, 914 and 1064 mm. The EALWA family offers the same six body lengths at lower powers, running from 9 W to 60 W. Body height is 180 mm across every type; weight ranges from 0.7 kg to 3.5 kg.

The lens comes in three angles: 15°, 30° and 60°. That allows the choice to follow the distance from the luminaire to the wall; a narrow beam grazes a tall surface from a distance, while a wide beam covers more area at close range. The body is built from material with high resistance to harsh weather, coated with 20 micron electroplating — a thickness that marks a decisive threshold against corrosion outdoors. LED modules from CREE, OSRAM and NICHIA are rated at 60,000 hours; the converter is ENEC compliant.
