Open-plan offices force two problems to be solved at once: insufficient light and uncontrolled noise. Galaksi O Acoustic answers both with a single ring-shaped luminaire. Because light radiates from the perimeter rather than a central point, it casts no hard shadow on the surface below. Hung above a meeting table, it delivers a comparable illuminance at both ends of the table. The product is available in eight diameters from 447 mm to 1890 mm.

Power ranges from 26 W to 200 W, with luminaire output flux between 2,585 and 21,945 lm. The ring section measures 79 mm wide and the body stands 200 mm high. The absorptive layer is 9 mm recycled PET felt weighing roughly 1.75 kg/m² — a low area weight that keeps suspension loads modest even on the largest diameters. Tested to EN ISO 354, the material returns an NRC of 0.70 and an absorption coefficient of 0.80 at 500 Hz.

Fire classification under EN 13501-1 is B-s1, d0: s1 denotes low smoke production, d0 confirms no flaming droplets. ASTM E84 testing returned Class A. The aluminium body is offered in white and black. LUMILEDS, OSRAM and NICHIA LED modules rated at 60,000 hours are paired with an ENEC-compliant constant current converter. A dimmable DALI driver and emergency kit can be specified as options.On request, UGR<19 glare control and CRI 90 colour rendering can also be provided.
